Black Sherif honors memory of Christian Atsu during Wireless Festival performance in Dubai
Ghana’s current biggest music export, Black Sherif has set an agenda for discussion after a thrilling delivery at the just ended 2023 Wireless Festival in Dubai.
The ‘Soldier’ hitmaker became the first ever Ghanaian artist to rock the international stage of the Wireless Festival which came off on 11th March at the ETIHAD PARK, YAS ISLAND in Dubai.
Blacko, who turned the entire venue into a party, also took the chance to honor Christian Atsu, a former Black Stars player who tragically passed away after an earthquake struck Turkey.
During his performance, photos of Atsu appeared on the LED screen behind him, along with messages paying tribute to the former Black Stars winger.
The late footballer met his untimely death in the devastating Earthquake that struck parts Turkey and Syria in the early hours of 6th February 2022.
The ex-Newcastle United and Bournemouth midfielder was not found after the incident on that faithful day; however, his body was pulled out of the rubble 12 days after the disaster struck.
The mortal remains of the famous player arrived in Ghana on Sunday, February 20. he’ll be buried on March 17, 2023.
